Fishing Adventure Gone Wrong

The other day I surprised Thomas with a deep sea fishing adventure which was A little less than expected. Our guide showed up 20 minutes late and we didn’t get on the water until 6:30 (reservation was from 6 am - 9 am).
We finally got out on the water and it started to rain. We fiddled around for a while and the guide told us it was up to us if we wanted to go in or try to go back out. We didn’t really know that much, since we had never done it before, and he said he wouldmt charge us a penny if we went back out and it wasnt good. So we went back out around 7:30.
We caught two Spanish mackerel, which if you’ve ever seen one you know they are very small and lackluster. When the mackerel got on the line, I was the one to point it out, with little attention from him, and he told me to reel it in....well I didn’t even know how to! If never done it....yes, now having had done it it was fairly simple but still! When I reeled it in, he pulled it in and threw it a cooler without even telling me what kind of fish it was until I asked.
We continued to have meager results so he had us go shark fishing. We caught one small shark and he cut it off the line before we could even touch it or take a picture with it.
After that he rolled up the other lines and we went back to the dock. He said because we screwed around for the first hour, he would only charge us for 2 hours ( keep in mind it was supposed to be $375) and he charged us $275....well if I do my math right- that is not the price of two hours. And I left him a customary 20% tip to the tune of another $55. also we didn’t even fish for two hours it was an hour and a half at best since we went back out at 7:30 and were back at the dock at 9 am.
As someone who has never felt with a fishing guide before- what would some of you have done in this situation??
Catch 22!
Would love to know the name of the company you used so others will know who NOT to use!
Also he used one of our mackerel for bate for the shark..... -__-
